The Winter collection is "Drum" (bright pink cover) with such favorites as "Roll Over", "Kookabura" and "Clap Your Hands." And of course, "This Train." There are other lively songs with ethnic flavor, catchy originals, and plenty of drumming songs.
Music Together partners with Lutz Center Adult Day Services for special classes Music Together families will have the opportunity to experience inter-generational music making. The Lutz Center, located downstairs from the Music Room, offers a community-based, group alternative to nursing homecare. Families will be able to pre-register for these free music classes. Children, parents, and the participants of the Adult Day Services, will take class together. Please check back for times.
Did You Know? All Music Together Teachers take an intensive 3-day weekend of training in which they must display their teaching abilities. They must pass the course in order to be able to teach. There are also many workshops and continuing education that the teachers continue to take so that they are informed of the latest research and techniques in the field of early childhood musical development. There is an advanced training called Certification I, which Teacher Annie took in winter of 2006.
