A Change in Direction:
As director of Music Together Gold Country for almost seven years, it is with
great pleasure that I pass on my duties to Lucy Schram. My path took a new
direction when I started graduate school and I knew I couldn't give the program
the focus it deserves. Lucy has the dedication and skills necessary to continue
this valuable program.
I think of all the families I have come to know. I thank each one of you for
realizing the value of music in your child's life and acting on it. We have had
a lot of fun, spoken of many parenting concerns, and made incredibly, wonderful
music together.
I am not leaving the program, which is good news for me. I will still get to
interact with you and your child AND music in the capacity of teaching.
Thank you again for sharing music and life with me.

BREAKING NEWS!
A year ago I was introduced on this page as the newest teacher, and
now, I am hear writing to all of you with great excitement as the next chapter
of MT Gold Country opens up. My Husband and I have purchased the center from
Teacher Annie. There will be very little change to the eye of what has already
been taking place. Annie, Mary and Lucy will continue to teach, just all
communications from the registration address, emails, phone numbers, etc. will
no longer be on Koala Lane but on Alexandra Way.
As a mother of four Music Together children, two still in classes, I am
thrilled to be that much more involved in keeping music in your families, too.
If you ever have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate in
contacting me.
Musically,
Teacher Lucy

Did You Know?
All Music Together Teachers take an intensive 3-day weekend of training in
which they must display their teaching abilities. They must pass the
course in order to be able to teach. There are also many workshops and
continuing education that the teachers continue to take so that they are
informed of the latest research and techniques in the field of early childhood
musical development. There is an advanced training called Certification I,
which Teacher Annie took in winter of 2006.
